Pixelated Memories

While going through old photos, I noticed that the people in them seemed genuinely happy. Their smiles and expressions conveyed a natural sense of ease and contentment, which stood in stark contrast to the complexities of modern life. This left me wondering: Why do these old photos evoke such strong feelings of joy? Is it because life in the past was indeed simpler and happier, or is it because these photos captured only the happiest moments of life? At the time, I didn’t delve deeply into these questions but simply immersed myself in the warmth and nostalgic emotions these images brought. This immediate sense of joy became the starting point of my project, driving me to explore the hidden emotions and meanings behind these photos through my creative process. From there, I began experimenting with these photos, attempting to reinterpret them through modern visual language. I explored various methods, including directly altering elements within the photos and changing their styles and compositions, aiming to uncover the subtle relationship between modern technology and nostalgic memories
